ChatGPT Image Watermark Remover
What “ChatGPT watermark remover” usually means: a visible graphic, invisible SynthID, or Content Credentials. Informational only — no removal tool.

Searches for a “ChatGPT watermark remover” or “OpenAI watermark remover” usually mix three different things. A visible OpenAI disclosure, an invisible SynthID watermark, C2PA Content Credentials, and an OpenAI verification result are four different things. Do not collapse them into “the ChatGPT watermark.” This page is informational. It is not a removal product. No watermark is successfully removed here.
Visible graphic
OpenAI documents that a visible disclosure can be requested in a prompt on ChatGPT, Codex, and OpenAI API images. That is not a default logo overlay on every generated image, and it is not SynthID or C2PA. Some people want to crop a logo they can see. Cropping a prompt-requested graphic from a screenshot is not the same as removing SynthID, and this page does not provide crop, inpaint, or overlay-attack instructions.
SynthID
SynthID is an invisible provenance watermark. AI Watermark Center does not currently detect SynthID. This site does not provide a SynthID remover, degradation recipes, detector-evasion tests, or bypass testing.
Content Credentials
C2PA manifests can disappear after ordinary re-saves or screenshots. That is a durability fact, not a recommendation. This page does not instruct readers to strip metadata in order to conceal origin. If you need to understand what credentials a file still carries, inspect it.
What this site will help with
- Explaining which mechanism someone is probably looking at.
- Local inspection of supported embedded Content Credentials.
- Pointing to OpenAI’s official verification for OpenAI signals.
Concealing AI origin is not the promise of this site. Provenance understanding, supported privacy inspection, and documented verification are.
